CAPE was selected as the winning contractor following a competitive tender process involving three main contractors.

The project comprised a redevelopment of Shore City Shopping Centre’s Como Street Entry integrated with a further two tenancy base build refresh projects.

The new entrance comprised a rendered finished concrete ramp accompanied with a frameless glass balustrade.

Formed above the ramp is a structural steel canopy with both glazed and solid sections spanning the entire width.

Further above the canopy we installed an engineered designed façade in a pre-finished metal cladding.

Internally the existing mall corridor was extended to create a seamless transition from the new and existing spaces.

Separating the inside and outside is a new shopfront spanning over 40m in length.

This project had a multitude of onsite discoveries which resulted in numerous design changes.

CAPE worked closely with our sub-contractors and the design team to propose effective solutions to these changes, all while maintaining a constant workflow onsite, and reducing delays as much as possible.
