The Les Mills Immersive Cycling Studio was an exciting project for CAPE. We have constructed multiple different training areas in the ‘Garage’ area over the years for Les Mills but this completely transformed the space.

We constructed a 100 Bike Spin Studio, complete with a tiered stage, clad in internationally sourced bronze stainless steel. The studio achieved extremely high STC ratings with its construction of double stud walls, multiple layers of noiseline gib and ply, high density wall insulation, acoustic doors and Autex wall and ceiling linings. This ensures the sound from the space does not affect the functional and boxing areas on either side. Five projectors display a multitude of video images onto the 21m long x 3m high curved screen, constructed of a CNC curved base and top plates, timber studs at 200 centres and flexigib plastered to a level 5 finish. This, combined with a sound system, creates an exercise experience like no other.

The area outside the immersive studio is painted black, this alongside the Regupol rubber flooring, back turf, feature lighting and serious air conditioning system helps to creates a moody, yet functional, exercise space

The boxing zone received a full upgrade of the bathroom facilities and a new feature steel staircase and balustrade. We constructed the large steel staircase in the factory and delivered it to site in one piece, carefully maneuvering it around the new studio and forklifting it into place.
