Simon Sheldon

Whilst new to CAPE, Simon is certainly not new to the wider construction industry. With almost thirty years of proven industry experience Simon is a recognisable and highly considered member of the New Zealand construction industry.

By overseeing the day-to-day quantity surveying & contract administration roles at CAPE Simon will endeavour to ensure that project budget targets are met, procurement methods align with project milestone dates, and that commercial and contractual issues are kept to an absolute minimum.

Supporting CAPE’s talented quantity surveying department provides Simon his biggest thrill. He believes that by creating a “help not hinder” company culture it will allow CAPE to continue to deliver outstanding projects which showcase our collective skills and expertise.

Providing CAPE’s willing, able and friendly team with complex, challenging and impressive projects and seeing them support each other to succeed is what excites Simon the most.

Simon brings his extensive experience as a quantity surveyor, commercial manager and director to CAPE and his robust attention to detail will ensure that clients can be confident their budget targets are maintained.

During his thirty-year career Simon has gained experience in commercial construction, building refurbishment, seismic upgrade, interior fit-out, and high-end residential projects in both New Zealand & Australia.
